Day 1, Tuesday 8^th June 2010:

Frankfurt --> Murten (CH) 282 Mi / 453 km / 4h00

We will all meet early this morning to have our first driver's meeting. The cars are ready, the last bag is stowed and we are ready to go for an exciting journey! We will make our way out of the city and to our first stretch of no-speed-limit Autobahn. Lunch will be taken on the road (not incl.) at one of those elaborate European rest areas.

After lunch, we will continue toward beautiful Switzerland and to the historical city of Murten, founded in 1416. There, we will reach our luxurious 5 star hotel located directly on the lake, Le Vieux Manoir au Lac.
Relax at the hotel by taking advantage of all the amenities offered, or go for a walk, exploring the old fortified town of Murten. There is a lot to see!
A Welcome-to-Switzerland cocktail will await you upon your return, followed by a wonderful dinner in the gardens on the lake (weather permitting).
After our first day of driving, it's time to share our Autobahn driving impressions...
