Day 5, Monday 9^th July 2012:

Option 2 ends this morning

Le Mans --> Deauville : 140 Mi / 225 km / 2h10
Deauville --> Omaha Beach : 47 Mi / 75 km / 1h20

This morning we will say goodbye to the participants who selected Option 2, leave Le Mans behind with tons of memories, photos and videos, and continue our fantastic journey to Normandy and the fashionable city of Deauville, home of the American film festival. This is also where the Parisian "jetset" gets away on weekends !

You will have free time to explore, walk on the famous boardwalk, maybe gamble a bit at the casino and have lunch at one of our recommended restaurant.

By mid afternoon we will resume our day and head for our superb and quaint 4 star castle hotel located right near Omaha Beach. A well deserved cocktail will welcome us followed by some time off before dinner on the garden terrace (weather permitting).

Chateau de la Cheneviere

This elegant 18th century chateau, nestled in the Norman countryside, just 10 min from Omaha Beach is an ideal hideaway to experience calm relaxation and invigorating moments: open heated pool and orangery with all the amenities, set in 2 hectares of enclosed gardens, 12 hectares of landscaped grounds with tennis court, jogging trail, croquet greens, rose gardens and fragrant bushes, not to mention the Chef's vegetable garden.
