Now that you are an absolute wine connoisseur after 5 days of complete "wine immersion", let's take a small break and go on a trip back in time, 18,000 years or so! After a delicious breakfast and driver's meeting, we will drive to the world oldest known pre-historical paintings in Lascaux. There, we will visit Lascaux II, located a few hundred feet of the original Lascaux caves. Lascaux II is a facsimile of the famous pre-historic caves closed to the public in 1963. After this unforgettable visit, we will have lunch on site in the village of Montignac.

  

After a delicious lunch, we will complete our driving day by going further south near the town of Cahors, where our 13^th century castle will welcome us for the night. Spend some time relaxing by the superb hotel pool. Early evening we will take a guided tour of the castle and visit the vinification and ageing cellars followed by a Welcome Drink and a king's dinner.

For twelve centuries, the château at Mercuès was the summer residence of the bishops of Cahors.
